Ongoing: Varsity Girls’ Water Polo - Ava Albertson (‘25)
Q: How did you first get involved with water polo? How long have you been playing?
A: For the last few years I have been wanting to join WAPO but haven’t had the time until now. This is my first season.
Q: What are you most excited for this season?
A: I’m most excited to be part of a team, as I've always only participated in individual sports.
Q: What is something ESHS students might not know about you or your sport?
A: Something El Segundo students may not know about water polo is that instead of jerseys with our number and team colors, we wear little hats.

Q: How did you first get involved with softball? How long have you been playing?
A: I first got involved with softball after playing a season of little league when I was 4 years old. I have been playing for around 10 years.
Q: What are you most excited for this season?
A: This season I’m most excited for bonding with my new teammates and learning to cohesively play with them for the next couple of months.
Q: What is something ESHS students might not know about you or your sport?
A: A lot of people assume that baseball and softball are the same sport with a different ball when in reality there are tons of differences from the style of pitching to the grass on the diamond.
